Welcome to Blazerville, a 4th Grade Classroom Community at Espy Elementary in the Nixa RII School District. We’re an eMINTS classroom utilizing inquiry-based methods to master the curriculum. Students—“Blazers”—are challenged to take their thinking (and learning) to a higher level. Ms. Rhonda Glaser is Teacher of the Blazerville 4th Grade Community.
Social Studies topics emphasize Missouri History but also include studies of Constitutional Democracy, Governance Systems, Economic Concepts and Principles, Elements of Geographical Study and Analysis, Relationships of Individuals and Groups to Institutions and Traditions, and Tools of Social Science Inquiry. Science utilizes Scientific Inquiry to cover Life (Changes in Ecosystems and Interactions of Organisms with Their Environments), Earth (Processes and Interactions of the Earth’s Systems), Physical (Properties and Principles of Matter and Energy and of Force and Motion), and Technology (Impact of Science, Technology, and Human Activity). Math incorporates topics in Numbers and Operations, Algebraic Relationships, Geometric and Spatial Relationships, Measurement, and Data and Probability.Through the Four-Block Method, Communication Arts builds students’ abilities in Reading, Writing, Word Study, Listening and Speaking while expanding their Information Literacy through the use of a wide variety of research materials and resources.
